This page explains the nature of the content on this site and the terms on which the site may be used.
The content is general information
The articles, practice area pages and other texts on this site are intended as general information; they are not legal advice on any particular matter. Every dispute is assessed on its own facts. Legal support should be obtained before acting on anything stated here.
References to legislation and to time limits reflect the rules in force on the date the text was published. Amendments and court decisions may render that information out of date.
Correspondence through the site creates no lawyer-client relationship
Completing the contact form, sending an e-mail or telephoning does not create a lawyer-client relationship. That relationship arises only where, following a meeting, a power of attorney is granted and an engagement agreement is concluded.
A message you send therefore does not stop any legal period already running. If your situation carries the risk of a limitation period or a period that extinguishes the right itself, you should telephone directly rather than wait for a reply to the form.
Your messages are seen only by the office. Even so, we suggest that at the first stage you share a summary of the matter rather than the details of your file.
Prohibition of advertising
This site is published for information only, within the framework of Article 55 of the Attorneys' Act No. 1136 and the Regulation on the Prohibition of Advertising of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations. It is not intended to attract work: the site carries no promise of outcome, no client information, no client testimonial and no fee information.
Copyright
Rights in the articles, practice area texts, images and design elements on this site belong to the office. The content may not be copied, reproduced or published elsewhere without permission. Short quotations may be made provided a link to the source is given.
External links
Links to other sites are given in order to cite a source. The office is not responsible for the content, currency or data processing practices of the sites linked to.
Governing law
Turkish law applies to any dispute arising from use of this site; the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction.
